Swoop Community Hub: see every community group. Help the ones that need it. Prove that it worked.
Swoop Community Hub helps councils see, support and grow the community groups in their area: a branded public hub of local groups, events and volunteer roles for your website, a de-identified dashboard for your community development team, and full Swoop for every group.

Sound familiar?
- The same few volunteers carry every group. When they burn out, the group folds.
- Grant rounds go undersubscribed, or the applications aren't ready.
- Support to community groups is delivered by hand, one at a time.
One product, three views
For your community
One hub, in your own branding, to find local groups, events and volunteer roles. It sits on your website. Every local group is listed and can claim its page.
For your team
A dashboard of trends and the projects groups are planning, and targeted support when a gap shows up.
For your groups
Every group you support gets Swoop to run itself: members, events, volunteers, payments, governance, and Magpie, an assistant that takes on the admin.
How it works
See: your dashboard shows that only a third of your groups are grant-ready. Target: you run a grant-readiness booster. Boost: our wing leaders deliver the training, and Magpie guides each group step by step. See the change: next round, more groups apply, and their applications are ready.
Our privacy promise
- You see trends, not names. Every figure comes from at least five groups.
- Groups own their data.
- Data is stored in Australia.
- De-identified data only.
What it adds up to
Evidence to take to budget, and to other organisations, for targeted, council-wide support: sustainable groups, less volunteer burnout, groups that can deliver more for community, and community-led economic development.
Questions councils ask
What is Swoop Community Hub?
Swoop Community Hub helps councils and community funders see, support and grow the community groups in their area. It has three parts: a public hub on your website where people find local groups, events and volunteer roles; a dashboard for your community development team; and full Swoop for every group you support.
What does the public hub show?
Every community group in your area, what's on, and ways to lend a hand, on a map and as cards, in your own colours, logo and fonts. It sits on your council's website. Groups not on Swoop yet are listed too, and can claim their listing.
What can council staff see about groups?
Totals and trends for the area: groups, members, events, places booked, volunteer hours, projects under way by stage, and grants received. A figure only shows when at least five groups add up to it, so no single group can be picked out. For each group, staff see only its public details. Never a member's name.
Where does the list of local groups come from?
Groups already on Swoop, charities on the ACNC register in your postcodes, and your council's own list. A group can claim its listing, and we check with the group before linking it.
Where is the data stored?
In Australia. Each group owns its own data, and the council sees de-identified totals only.
Can our staff sign in with our council Microsoft account?
Yes. Swoop links to your council's Microsoft sign-in, so your own sign-in rules apply. Staff can also sign in with email and a six-digit code from an authenticator app.
How is it priced?
One flat annual price, set by the size and location of the area you serve. Every community group in that area gets full Swoop and support from our wing leaders.
